BookTime Africa is an innovative and engaging web/mobile app that functions in the form of an educational quiz game. Through a concept of learning quiz with educational questions, this general knowledge quiz education concept seeks to eradicate complacency, reluctance to learn and poor academic performance in students, especially in Africa.
Our unique concept combines two important features of education through a question and answer format, and monetary reward for users excellent performances which meets set minimum requirements. Thus, the education quiz acts as a kind of educational quiz for students that require tutors, educational sessions and want a competitive learning method for better and more effective learning.
MULTIPLE TOPICS
Our educational quiz is majorly targeted at secondary students although it will later have features that accommodate other knowledge seeking people. The general knowledge learning questions are formulated from multiple topics within the scope of the subjects and curriculum being taught them in classes. LEARNING QUESTIONS PACKS
Question packs of various sizes (500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10000 questions) are available for downloads for individual users. These questions are divided into subjects and topics. A general educational quiz question is asked randomly from a selected topic of a subject and the user is required to answer it within 35 seconds after which the next question is loaded. Copy and paste feature will be unavailable to prevent malpractices. 5 points is given for every correct answer and 5 points is deducted for every wrong answer. An accumulation of 1000 points entitles a user to the cash reward of $200 only.
SIMPLE AND EASY TO USE
Interface and accessibility: BookTime Africa is created with simple and easy-to-use interfaces which are to ensure that users of varying ages can easily navigate through the various sections and features of the app. This will encourage wide acceptability and ensure suitability of use for students across board. There are versions available for use on major devices’ operating systems. Our educational quiz is designed to be small in data size and disk volume it occupies so that it could be easily downloaded. Initial download is free although charges are applicable for upgrades and in-app purchases. User profile: a profile is created for each user that contains basic personal biodata. This data can also be loaded from user’s Facebook account.
INFORMATION ABOUT USER’S PROFILE
On this educational quiz learning app, the profile will hold the records of user’s performance and progress and will be used for access within the app and for log-in and log-out. It is also the means for transactions and payment of monetary rewards.
